DIY Tumblr inspired notebook
Hello everyone, today I'm am going to show you how to create your own unique notebook for school. School I know that dreaded word but we all have to go and yes I am thinking about it already and not looking forward to go back. Lets just get started ...
Equipment
The items you will need to create this diy are:
Notebook (any size)
Wool
Coloured paper or this colourful cling film type overlay and white paper
Nail file
Clear tape
Glue stick
Scissors
Printer
Computer
How to make it!
Firstly you will need to cut four pieces of wool one for each edge of the book. I did cut an extra one just to be safe, even though I did cut all the first ones too short. I'm not going to get an a* in wool cutting I guess.
Before we start to get glue everywhere, you will need to file the front of your notebook where you are going to stick paper (only if the front is glossy). This will just help for anything to stick tighter and it will be more secure.
Be VERY careful for this next step, cut a piece of paper to the exact size of your notebook either coloured or white. If you are using this cling film thing you will need to cut a piece of it the same size as the white paper. This did take me about 100 tries to master.
Next stick your paper to the front of your book and if your like me stick the cling film overlay on the top.
This is the tricky part, glue a piece of wool to each of the four edges of your notebook.
Now this is my favourite part search through google to find some cute pictures to stick to your notebook. I typed into google we heart it transparent, tumblr transparent and cute pictures transparent. Find some that you like and print them off on plain paper.
To complete your notebook cut out and stick down your pictures on to your book. This is how the front turned out to look like.
Also i stuck a few pictures on the back. I really like how mine turned out and this will be one of my statement school supplies!
That's it!
I hope you try and create your own notebook if you do please DM me a picture on instagram @daisy_xox_
